Introducing Coca-Cola For Breakfast

Coca-cola has taken the lion’s share of the blame, along with other manufacturers of soda and sugar sweetened beverages for the obesity epidemic and its impact on chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and some types of cancer. And as a result, the mega soda company is looking for revenue in all sorts of places, including the breakfast arena, according to Breitbart.

Coca-cola’s new strategy in Great Britain is to get the Brits to switch their tea for a cola. Coke issued a report last week identifying a number of ways to increase sales which included the breakfast category.
"How do we motivate people to make soft drinks, like smoothies, juices and other on-the-go products, part of their morning ritual in the same way as tea or coffee?" the report asks.
In a statement, the company claimed to be referring directly to smoothies and juices.
Breitbart reports:
The optimistic report comes as soda consumption has been fading in developed countries such as the U.S. amid concerns they fuel weight gain. To combat criticism, Coca-Cola Co. began airing TV ads this year that explain what it's doing to fight obesity. The Atlanta-based company and rival PepsiCo Inc. are also working on making better-tasting diet sodas that use natural sweeteners.
Coke recently tried to address the obesity epidemic with new ads which will ran during American Idol and the Super Bowl, that talked about all the ways to burn the 140 calories in a serving of the beverage, including dancing and walking the dog. It's a "happy 140 calories," according to the soda giant.
Another ad talks about Coke’s record of providing drinks with fewer calories while establishing that weight gain comes from eating too many calories of any kind, not just in the form of a sugary beverage, according toMyFoxDC
